ABOUT Bold Money Matter$
We are overjoyed to announce that the CME Church is the recipient of a 4-year ($1 million) grant from the Lilly Endowment Foundation. The grant will fund a program to provide a financial literacy educational series to CME Clergy, as well as support a fund to provide direct aid to program participants. In keeping with the quadrennial theme, we are tagging this program as “BOLD Money Matters”!
Meet Bishop Teresa E. Snorton
Bishop Teresa E. Snorton is the 59th Bishop and the first female Bishop in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church since its founding in 1870. Bishop Snorton is the Ecumenical Bishop and Development Officer for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. From 2010-2022, she was presiding bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District, which includes the states of Alabama and Florida. Her first episcopal appointment was to the new Eleventh Episcopal District in East Africa. She is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Miles College (Fairfield, AL), Chair of the Board of Directors of the Miles Foundation Service Corporation and Ecumenical Officer and Endorsing Agent for the CME Church.
